It's amazing that The Butterfly Effect wasn't a bigger hit-after all, this is a movie in which Ashton Kutcher plays a (don't laugh) college student who goes back in time to alter the past, and in doing so, wipes himself out of existence. Ah, to dream the impossible dream. I love movies in which characters have never seen the kind of movie that they're in. Messing with the space-time continuum is a fool's gamble, Ashton! You've been self-Punk'd!
