2015 collection. Rev. James Cleveland is known as the "Crown Prince of Gospel." In the mid 1950's he served as a pianist and arranger for Albertina Walker's group The Caravans, and found himself performing alongside the likes of future gospel stars such as Inez Andrews, Dorothy Norwood and Shirley Caesar. He founded the Gospel Music Worship of America (GMWA) in 1968. Through-out his lengthy career he's recorded more than 100 albums, 16 of them which went gold.
